Rhelma was a mountain and horse lover from the start, carried up the mountain on horseback at just two weeks old. She was one of only three second-generation O’Reillys, doing school correspondence with cousins Vince and Peter.
At just four, Rhelma still recalls her father Bernard lacing up his boots to search Lamington National Park — ultimately finding the survivors of the Stinson crash.
At the Retreat, guests nicknamed Rhelma “Shirley Temple” for her curls and charm, though her father called her “Imp” — a mischievous little devil she admits was probably more accurate!
Our Rhelma Reserve Rosé is crafted from Sangiovese grown in Queensland’s picturesque South Burnett region. This refreshing rosé shows a delicate pale-salmon hue — a natural result of the brief skin contact used in traditional rosé winemaking.
Aromas of fresh red berries and bright citrus rise from the glass, leading into a crisp, lively palate. The fruit-forward notes are lifted by subtle savoury undertones, adding depth and interest while maintaining the wine’s refreshing, dry finish. Elegant and versatile, it pairs beautifully with grilled prawns or light summer dishes.
Enjoy it now for its youthful vibrancy, or cellar confidently until 2032.
