Shane Peter O’Reilly – Vintage 1962
Shane O’Reilly is a third-generation member of the O’Reilly’s family. Carrying on the O’Reilly’s pioneering spirit, Shane saw a historic homestead in the Canungra Valley and envisioned it surrounded with a boutique vineyard. Several years later, with a lot of hard work, passion, and support from the local Canungra community, his dream became a reality. Shane is known for not only his love of wine, but also his larrikin spirit.
Shane Reserve Shiraz – 750ml
Indulge in a bold and expressive Shiraz that bursts with rich, fruit-forward character. The wine opens with fragrant notes of fresh blackberry, supported by indigo-ruby hues that hint at its impressive palate length. Each sip unfolds layers of blueberry and black plum, delivering an essence of candied fruit that remains vibrant and concentrated. Subtle hints of coconut from American oak add warmth and complexity, while the ripe, soft, and rounded tannins create a smooth, lingering finish.
Our Shane Reserve Shiraz has been crafted in the classic Australian “Shiraz” style — bold, generous, and full-bodied — this wine celebrates the varietal’s hallmark dark fruit intensity and plush texture. Though beautifully enjoyable now, it will reward those who choose to cellar it, developing greater depth over the coming years. A perfect partner to hearty dishes, we recommend pairing it with a mustard-rubbed ribeye fillet and roasted chat potatoes for a truly memorable dining experience.
