Take your Scenic Rim Eat Local experience to new heights — literally.
In 2025, O’Reilly’s introduced a new Eat Local Month event — Sky to Plate — and it was a huge success.
Guests started their morning before sunrise with Hot Air Balloon Gold Coast. The flight drifted gently over the Scenic Rim, from Harrisville to Canungra, revealing soft mist, rolling hills, and golden light. It was a peaceful and breathtaking way to see the land that feeds us.
Guests were treated to breathtaking views of the Scenic Rim as part of this special event.
After landing, guests made their way to O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards. There, they enjoyed a Producers Breakfast beside the creek, celebrating local farmers and fresh regional produce. The menu featured ingredients from Tommerup’s Dairy Farm, Peak Crossing Veg, and other local growers. Where the vineyard team created a warm, relaxed atmosphere filled with laughter, good food, and sparkling wine.
Guests were treated to a table on our lawn laden with delicious breakfast treats while enjoying the warm morning sunshine.
The event truly captured the spirit of Eat Local Month — connecting people with the land, the community, and the stories behind each plate. Many guests said it was the highlight of their Scenic Rim adventure.
